Panel Replacement

Concrete is the usual choice for sea-wall construction. Concrete is a long-lasting choice to safeguard your property because it is stronger and architecturally sound that other construction materials. Once the panels are poured and dried, they are then installed on your property, along with the usual on-site work such as capping and finishing.

Vinyl is a viable option to traditional concrete seawalls especially when space for large backhoes and other large seawall installation equipment is scarce. Installed in tandem with a stainless steel anchoring system and concrete reinforcement, it is a good defense against erosion. However, in order for a sea-wall to be a prime candidate for vinyl, it must be completely vertical.

Town & Country Seawalls is one of the few companies that can make its own precast concrete panels. We even mix our concrete on-site. Independent laboratories regularly test our concrete to ensure top-quality products for your next beachwall.

We’ve Been Building For Over 20 years

Installing Seawalls in Westchester

Seawalls can be more complex than some might envision. Each panel must be buried a minimum of 40% of the sea-wall bed. They are not hammered into place, but are pressed into place by stirring up the canal bed.
To keep the seawall off the landward side, we place deadman anchors every 10 feet. The anchors extend approximately 15 feet below the ground. Otherwise prone to rust, these deadman anchors need to be made from epoxy-coated steel rebar. They should be also covered with a poly pipe sleeves. The concrete cap of the seawall is preserved by sealing the end of the rebar that attaches to the seawall cap.

On most of our jobs, we pour our seawall caps on-site and then tie the multiple components together. Town & Country Seawalls often uses further structural skeletal support to its sea-wall cap by using custom-made-stirrup-shaped lathe.
